Privacy policy
Effective September 24, 2026. Plain-English version: we collect your email so we can send you the newsletter, we measure how the site performs, and we never sell your information.
What we collect
- Email address — when you subscribe or enter a giveaway, so we can send you 440 Eats emails.
- Signup context — which page you signed up from and basic campaign info (like which restaurant's QR code you scanned), so we know what's working.
- Site usage — anonymous analytics about which pages are visited, via Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel.
How we use it
- Send you the 440 Eats newsletter, giveaway updates, and occasional local food news.
- Measure signups and site performance, including ad measurement.
- Run giveaways fairly — one entry per person, winners drawn from real subscribers.
Services we use
- Beehiiv — our email provider. Your email lives there so we can send the newsletter.
- Google Analytics — anonymous page analytics. No personal data is sent to Google.
- Meta Pixel & Conversions API — measures signups from ads. When you subscribe, we send Meta a hashed (one-way scrambled) version of your email plus the page you signed up from, so Meta can count conversions without seeing your actual address.
What we never do
- We never sell, rent, or trade your email address or personal information.
- We never send your raw email address to ad platforms — only a hashed version for measurement.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe anytime — every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you're out.
- Delete your data — email matt@440eats.com and we'll remove your address from our list.
